About the Role

MBDA Incorporated is seeking an experienced Finance Manager to lead key financial functions, including annual budgeting, forecasting, long-range strategic planning, and government cost and pricing submissions. The Finance Manager will play a pivotal role in supporting program reviews and presentations to the Board of Directors, ensuring financial excellence and compliance across all operations.

Responsibilities

• Develops and implement fiscal operating budgets, policies and procedures. This includes development of indirect pool budgets for OH, G&A, Facilities, and Benefits, revenue and cost of sales budgets, and establishing and implementing indirect rates for the fiscal year.
• Develops, implements, and administers financial records in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles, corporate policies, and government regulations through subordinate analysts.
• Develops and administers the cost accounting and financial management systems.
• Develops, monitors, and distributes to management essential financial operating budgets, reports and forecasts.
• Reviews annual and intermediate budgets periodically to analyze trends affecting budget needs.
• Prepares the budget calendar and plans the budget process.
• Responsible for maintaining complete financial records of costs incurred to ensure all costs allocated to contracts are allowable and allocable.
• Responsible for preparation and submittal of an adequate annual incurred Cost proposal to the Govt in accordance with FAR requirements.
• Will lead and serve as the primary point of contact with DCAA on all Incurred Cost Audits.
• Will lead and serve as the primary point of contact with DCAA on audits of proposal cost volumes.
• Responsible for developing and maintaining all Direct and Indirect rate tables in Propricer.
• Has primary responsibility for the development of cost volumes for proposals.
• Responsible for negotiating allowable overhead with government.
• Responsible for the development of financial management data reflecting financial condition and operating results.
• Provides program costs control for contracts and updates management in monthly program reviews.
• Preparation of internal management analyses.
• Evaluates financial reporting systems, accounting and collection procedures, and investment activities, and makes recommendations for changes to procedures, operating systems, budgets, and other financial control functions.

Experience and Skills

• Advanced knowledge of financial statements (P&L, Income Statement, Balance Sheet and Cash flow).
• Knowledge of integrated account and financial system software.
• Advanced Excel knowledge.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, and/or Finance with 10 - 12 years of experience or a Master's degree with 8 - 10 years of experience.
• Ability to travel up to 10%
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Leadership experience: Manager, Supervisor or lead role
• Experience in Finance, Accounting, Pricing/Cost estimating, Contracts, Program Control, or other related Business Management function(s)
• Strong project management skills
• Prior industry experience in aerospace and defense
