Integrated Media Planner/Buyer or Senior Integrated Media Planner/Buyer

About the Role

This role plays a crucial role in driving successful media campaigns across a diverse client portfolio. This individual will lead and execute data-driven media strategies, ensuring campaigns deliver measurable results. The ideal candidate is a passionate and results-oriented media professional with a strong understanding of the evolving media landscape and a proven track record of success in both media planning and buying.

Key Responsibilities

Develop & Execute Media Strategies:

  • Lead the development and execution of integrated media plans across various channels (digital, social, search, OOH, TV, radio, etc.) aligned with client objectives and budgets.
  • Conduct in-depth media research and analysis to identify target audiences, competitive landscapes, and optimal media mix.
  • Translate insights into actionable media recommendations, supported by data and sound strategic rationale.

Campaign Management & Optimization

  • Oversee the day-to-day management of media campaigns, including budget allocation, pacing, and performance tracking.
  • Work closely with media partners to understand media performance and optimize strategies in alignment with client goals and objectives. 
  • Monitor campaign performance closely, identify areas for optimization, and implement necessary adjustments to maximize ROI.
  • Proactively analyze campaign data, generate insightful reports, and present key findings to clients and internal stakeholders.

Client Relationships & Communication:

  • Build and maintain strong client relationships through proactive communication, regular updates, and exceptional client service.
  • Effectively communicate complex media concepts and data-driven insights to clients in a clear and concise manner.
  • Present campaign proposals, performance reports, and strategic recommendations with confidence and professionalism.

Data, Reporting, and Analytics:

  • Analyze campaign performance data across all channels to identify key trends, insights, and areas for improvement.
  • Utilize data visualization tools to effectively communicate campaign performance and insights to clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Conduct post-campaign analysis to evaluate campaign effectiveness and identify key learnings for future campaigns.

Teamwork & Collaboration:

  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams (account, creative, analytics) to ensure seamless campaign execution and achieve shared goals.
  • Mentor and guide junior team members on media planning, campaign execution, and best practices. Identify opportunities for growth and development. 

Stay Ahead of the Curve:

  • Stay abreast of the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices in media planning and execution. Developing internal and external POVs regularly.
  • Explore and evaluate new media opportunities and emerging technologies to enhance campaign effectiveness.

Basic Requirements

  • Strong understanding of all media channels, with a significant emphasis on digital media (e.g., Google Ads, Programmatic, Paid Social). Retail Media experience is a significant plus.
  • Solid understanding of media planning principles, including media math and key digital marketing metrics (ROAS, CTR, CPM, R/F, etc.).
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights and reports.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to effectively convey complex information to clients and internal teams.
  • Exceptional organizational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to work effectively under tight deadlines and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Familiarity with Google Workspace (G Suite) and project management tools

Experience

  • 4+ years of experience managing media campaigns, agency experience is strongly preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Journalism, Advertising, Marketing or Business Administration
  • Google Analytics and Ads certified a plus
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel & Powerpoint skill level
  • Working knowledge of media tools such as: Kantar/MRI, Telmar, Vivvix, Advantage, etc.
