Overview of the Position: The general contractor will coordinate and execute various property preservation and repair tasks. Responsibilities include assessing property condition, generating work scopes, collaborating with subcontractors, ensuring quality craftsmanship, managing costs and schedules, and maintaining communication with the company and clients. Duties: Manage property restoration and preservation initiatives Assess property condition and develop work scopes Oversee and collaborate with subcontractors Procure supplies and ensure quality work Manage budgets and timelines Communicate with clients and company representatives Ensure safety and regulatory compliance Typical Work Orders: You will coordinate and perform tasks such as: Protecting properties: rekeying, boarding up, installing or repairing security equipment Trash and debris removal: exterior and interior cleanup, proper disposal per local laws Winterization: draining plumbing systems to prevent freezing Landscaping & lawn maintenance: basic exterior upkeep Cleaning: preparing homes for sale or occupancy Basic repairs: plumbing, electrical, carpentry General upkeep: addressing minor maintenance issues Restoration: overseeing major repairs and cosmetic updates Requirements: Minimum 2 years of experience as a General Contractor or similar role Strong construction knowledge and understanding of trades Proven project management skills Experience with budgeting and cost control Excellent communication and problem-solving skills Knowledge of local building codes and sourcing materials Valid driver's license and reliable transportation (preferred) Clean criminal background and legal eligibility to work in the US We Offer: Competitive salary based on experience Opportunity to grow with a dynamic company Career development prospects Supportive and collaborative environment Note: Contractors with a criminal record are discouraged from applying. #J-18808-Ljbffr American Property Experts
